Beginner- Small Group Tintype Workshop- January 22, 2025
Vanity Tintype offers full-day , 2-3 person workshops for introdutatory students in our Fishtown studio.
This class enables students to develop foundational skill sets in the wet plate process using our materials, equipment and space.
Class begins promptly 9am with an overview of the history of the medium and demo of the tintype process, before transitioning into a guided, hands-on application. Students will learn to pour collodion, expose plates, develop, fix, wash and varnish their own tintypes. In this workshop, students can expect to shoot 4- 4×5 plates and 3- 5×7 plates.
